Born in Santa Monica, CA, Angela Lane Stablein graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Cinema and Drama. A former aspiring actress, she transformed her focus to filmmaking and produced, wrote and directed Mona and Pablo , a short comedy about a lonely young woman seeking companionship from her dysfunctional ex-boyfriends. Mona and Pablo , made its premiere with rave reviews at San Franciscos Red Vic Movie House and played in six other cities including New York City, Los Angeles and Miami. Angela started a production company, D&A Films , and began writing her first feature script, Seafood Heaven , a comedy about the chaos and disorder of working in a cheesy, dysfunctional seafood chain restaurant. Angela recently wrote and directed a short film version of Seafood Heaven , which has since won an audience award at the Friday Night Shorts Festival at Los Angeles Film School, and made its world premiere in Canada at Vancouver International Digital Festival. Angela just completed her Executive MBA in Marketing and is currently in development on Pro-Birth Control,, a political documentary on the issues of abortion today. Angela's other scripts include Love is a Many Splendor Thing, 1984 and Road Kill... all comedy features. Her other short films include Junkie Chase and Wes Craven: Lookout.
