David Bryan Lawrence was born to two school teachers and raised in Germfask, Michigan. His first instrument, a marching drum was received at his first Christmas. He was given a junior trap-set at 8 and began guitar lessons in the same year. He wrote his first song at 9, was recorded at 11 and made his first local television appearance at 12. At 13, David joined his first band and hasn't slowed down since. Bands with names like: Fragile, the Shadows, Radiant Heat, TKK, Fair Warning, FCG, the La Las, and of course Alias came and went. Now Lawrence has again teamed up with Alias stable mate Rick Lewis, and is now in "Long shot" based out of Newberry, Michigan.In addition to recording and releasing "taste this" with Alias, Lawrence constructed and runs Hawley Court Studio in Gulliver, Mi. where he has produced CD's for artists including: Mary Ann Mills, Diamonds and Gold, the Tommy Zaloaris Orchestra, Lost Lake Effect, Soul Immortal, etc. David is currently working to finish his long awaited solo CD "Captive Audience" which features an amazing stable of talent from Rick Lewis and Dave Mitchell of Alias to Jeff Guenther, Gerald Latsch, and Dusty Burns of regional prominence.
