About Me

Lyrics
Scattered Dreams
what is this that lies before me,
scattered dreams of mine from what i see
all these broken pieces i recognise
bet there's a hole inside my heart - thats just the same size
ooh yey! can we look and see?
ooh yey!
here's a piece of me from way back then,
i lost it all, thought i'd never love again
here's a piece of me, it's when i found my soul
you gave me belief and i swore i'd never let you go
ooh what did i know
ooh what do i know
cos i am only human on the inside
if you cut me open i will bleed
i am only trying to realise
breathe life into these scattered dreams
heres a piece of me from not so long ago
just when i met you how was i to know
you'd break a piece of me in two
walk away - so that i might remember you
but here's a little piece i'll save for myself
i'll give it water i'll give it health
from the first time i laid eyes on you
i'll keep it real, i'll keep it true
cos i am only human on the inside
if you cut me open i will bleed
i need you on my side
to help me sift through these scattered dreams
Easy come, easy go
oooh i can almost feel it now
oooh i'll summon up my strenght somehow
some way i'll get through
some how without you
oooh i can feel it now it's gone
oooh is this the calm after the storm
where some how i lost you
some way i know it's true
but oh my i never say you coming
ooh my i never saw you go
i feel it inside, im loosing all control
but i just can't let you go - no
no i just can't let you go
easy as you come easy as you go
easy come easy go
but oh my i never say you coming
ooh my i never saw you go
i feel it inside, im loosing all control
but i just can't let you go - no
i just can't let you go
easy come easy go
The faerie and the pookah
(Some background to the song: Certain agricultural traditions surround the pookah. It is a creature associated with Samhain, the third Pagan (Celtic, Wiccan) Harvest Festival, when the last of the crops is brought in. Anything remaining in the fields is considered "puka," or fairy-blasted, and hence inedible.
In some locales, reapers leave a small share of the crop, the "púca's share," to placate the hungry creature. Nonetheless, November Day (November 1) is the Púca's day, and the one day of the year when it can be expected to behave civilly).
On a cold winters morning, I can still remember
just as the day was dawning. on the 1st of november
where the myst was lifting, I happened on a sight by chance,
i caught a fleeting glimpse of an age-old romance
clear as a butt'n i did see,
the faerie and the pookah dancing merrily
as i stood clutching that old wooden pale,
id come to fetch some water from the well
he moved fran-tic with delight,
she removed the shack-les of the night
they skipped across the morning dew,
arm in arm they slipped into - the dawn
down along the path they flew,
but when i went to look - they were gone
oh hear you - dont you think me crazy oh hear you - dont you think me mad i'll swear upon my grave til my own dying day i saw the pookah and the faerie sway
"Pooka: From old Celtic mythology. A fairy spirit in animal form. The pooka appears here and there, now and then, to this one and that one at his own caprice. A wise but mischievous creature. Very fond of rum-pots, crack pots; and how are you today, Mr. Wilson...??"

"The Puca (Old Irish), (also Pookah, Phooka, Phouka, Puka, Pwca in Welsh, pouque in Dg..rn..siais, also Glashtyn, Gruagach) is a creature of Celtic folklore, notably in Ireland and Wales. It is one of the myriad of fairy (faery) folk, and, like many faery folk, is both respected and feared by those who believe in it."
According to legend, the Pookah is an adroit shape changer, capable of assuming a variety of terrifying forms. It may appear as an eagle or as a large black goat (its name is a cognate of the early Irish 'poc', 'a male goat' and it lends its name to Puck, the goat-footed satyr made famous in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream), but it most commonly takes the form of a sleek black or white horse with a flowing mane and glowing yellow eyes.
The Pookah has the power of human speech, and has been said to call those it feels have slighted or offended it out of their homes for a ride. If they fail to appear, it will tear down fences, scatter livestock, and create general mayhem.
In some regions, the Pookah is spoken of with considerably more respect than fear; if treated with due deference, it may actually be beneficial to those who encounter it. The Pookah is a creature of the mountains and hills, and in those regions there are stories of it appearing on November Day and providing prophecies and warnings to those who consult it.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the Pookah has succumbed to the enfeeblement which has been the fate of so many other powerful mythological creatures. Contemporary media have reduced it to a harmless, shy, and slightly demented garden-gnomish weevil eater. In modern times, the word has also been used in Ireland for the hallucinogenic Liberty Cap mushroom (Psilocybe semilanceata). This use is believed to predate the popularisation of the mushroom in the 1970s, and may possibly be of considerable antiquity.
Harvey is a play by Mary Chase. It won the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It is the story of likeable man and his imaginary friend "Harvey", a 6-foot-tall rabbit. The play starred Frank Fay and Josephine Hull.

lyrics

Sum of your parts

look what you've done
to yourself
what you've become
your somebody, somebody else

would you look at the mess you've made
you threw it all away
I know just what should be said
I just don't know if I can say

if only you could go back
and do things differentl-ee
put everything on track
the way it used to be
but if you feel lonely
only yourself to blame
you've made your bed, so go lie in it
matters none to me

Life it lets us all mingle
life it pulls apart those seems
just as it can make you tingle
it can pull out your heart strings
it can pull out your heart strings

An I keep these traces of you in a magazine
you're the sum of those around you
so it seems to me
but if your still lonely
only yourself to blame,
you made your bed so go lie in it
matters none to me

life it lets us all mingle
life it pulls apart those seems
just as it can make you tingle
it can pull at your heart strings
it can pull at your heart strings

oh not this time

Old melodies

Up from the mountain, over the trees,
asleep at the wheel im deep in a dream,
I don't know why,
each time I try,
just to reach you

Find myself floating over old melodies,
trying to bring back old faded memories,
still don't know why,
still don't know why,
each time I try

Im still floating,
im still dosing,
trying to claw back the time, but it just keeps on moving
it's making me feel,
like nothing is real,
and there's nothing to fear

no fear by my side,
no holes where it van hide,
I just won't allow it,

and it's down from the mountain, over the trees,
asleep at the wheel im deep in a dream
