Hello All! Please take time to visit my band site, "Skunkfoot" were you can hear some of my music and the Song from the Heart of Cheshire site which is one of my passions.
I'm a pretty nice bloke who is well read, educated to a reasonable level, occasionally witty, a fantastic lover and has a wide experience of life.
Intend to promote music, particularly high quality acoustic based music in the Northwest of England initially and spreading over the coming years.
It will take ages to get sorted because I really have to concentrate on making a living that pays more than I have now. It's amazing what slips away when you are distracted; Marriage, House, Cars, grip on reality...
Ultimately, I'd like to be able to retire on royalties. Failing that, try and develop a TV show to promote live acoustic based music.
To that end, I'm working this jam-night thing at the Pub I manage, The WITTON CHIMES in Northwich, Cheshire. You will find me hosting from 8pm on Tuesday nights at 'The Chimes' occasionally compering at various gig nights too.
I intend to start recording a radio show for Internet broadcasting on AFC Radio featuring lots of unsigned talent on CD and live performances from them in too. In the past, I've lucky enough to get interviews in the can from Glenn Tilbrook and Nick Harper - Thank you to both you guys :-) Send in your CDs folks.
I will also be continuing to write and play having been lucky enough to meet a wonderful group of musicians at The Gathering in Stirling in August 2007 where many of the Acoustic Performers who you wil meet in the Acoustic Music Forum here in MySpace got together for a festival in honor of DJ Buddha's Birthday.
Two of those guys, p00kah and Picard and I met at Picard's house in Germany as a direct result of this meeting and played gigs together as PPS both here, in Germany (the group's spiritual home?) along with some fabulous musicians from a band called Chocola, in Cleveland, OHIO and The Spratton Folk Festival near Northhampton. These were in a period of around 15 months up to last October. Amazing fun!! There was Michael Picard (Stefan's Brother) playing Bass, Keyboard and Percussion, Roman Dubrovski (wonderfully gifted guitarist) and Christof (with the production ear and lovely percussion and woodwind).
Please listen to my friends sites - All comments and most friend requests welcome although I do think an introduction with the request is only good manners :-)
Fan-Tastic!
