Our politics of choice is none. %D%AOur society of choice is utopian though we know it will never be. You may hate us. You may dismiss us. You may misunderstand us. You maybe unaware of our existence. We can only hope you do not care to judge us, because we would never judge you. %D%AWe are not criminals. We are not disillusioned. We are not drug addicts. We are not naive children...%D%AUntil the sun rises to burn our eyes by revealing the distopian reality of a world and we dance fiercely with our brothers and sisters in celebration of our life, of our culture, and of the values we believe in: %D%APeace, Love, Freedom, Tolerance, Unity, Harmony, %Dxpression, Responsibility and Respect. %D%A*Most* candyravers believe in PLUR. PLUR stands for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. PLUR is not only something that we feel at a rave, but something we strive to live by in our everyday lives. The term PLUR was coined by Frankie Bones when he gave a very important speech after one of his sets. He explained what the scene was about and why he had brought it to NY: Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. When he finished everybody in the ware house waved their hands in the air in complete unity. For many it was the most beautiful speech anyone has ever heard.
