Feels as good as it sounds

About Me

DJ Hafidz is one of the most versatile, reliable, competent and dedicated DJ currently available on the bar and club circuit. He has a unique and professional approach to his work and is able to play and mix a huge music of electro, progressive, tribal and funky house to any club or venue.Hafidz fell in love with the dance music scene back in 1999 when he attended the legendary clubs Backroom and Movement in Kuala Lumpur. After few years, he purchased his first set of decks and after being inspired by artists such as Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and many more. After endless hours of practice, he and a few friends set up their own mobile disco doing private parties and youth club events. This soon progressed and he started doing local private functions. Hafidz built up the mobile discos with the help from his much-closed friends DJ Yazid, Ash, Poja, Tajulow and Awad over a few years where they had a lot of underground parties around Kuala Lumpur. After doing mobile discos with his friends and gaining valuable experience, he moved on to providing high-class mobile discos for private functions and corporate clients. He has worked a very wide variety of clubs, bars, corporate events, private parties, and various other events that has given him the ability to read any audience and chose the correct music to suit. Some brands he has worked with include Adidas, Tom Abang Saufi’s, Loewe, Harper’s Bazaar and Malaysia International Fashion Week. Hafidz excelled at providing discos and proved to be an excellent personality DJ and sealed repeat bookings with many of his clients. In the late of 2004 Hafidz got his first break on the bar and club scene. He started DJ'ing some local nights at local venues. On December 2006, Hafidz participated in Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2006 Malaysia and grabbed the 1st runner up title. He was also one of the semi-finalist for the Juice DJ Quest 2006. With his music knowledge and reputation, he was approached by other bars, clubs and agencies to play more night venues.Hafidz has since gone from strength to strength spinning his style of house at various clubs and venues across Malaysia including Velocity KL Music Festival 2006 at Sunway Lagoon where he shared decks with the excellent Judge Jules in front of more than 15000 peoples. That was just the experience he needed and was soon followed by gigs at major clubs all across Malaysia including Borneo where he played alongside Paul Thomas, Ron Van Bueken, Kyau & Albert and more. Hafidz has now also made the breakthrough onto the international scene where he saw in 2007 with gig in Thailand.Hafidz has now entered the world of production with his debut remix ‘Seiring’ featuring Camelia, which is already attracting interest from the clubbers. The ‘Seiring’ is the first of at least 3 tracks Hafidz will be producing in 2007.Hafidz concentrates most of his time DJ'ing bars and clubs nowadays.
