About Me

Live in Sydney .. work in the airline industry. Also on a small scale as yet I am a Shiatsu practitioner and Yoga teacher. Will continue to explore Yoga, natural therapies and spirituality for as long as i walk this earth.
Love to travel.. Spent 3 years living and working in Tokyo and have a special love for Bali which is like a second home to me. Have done a couple of trips through India and spent loads of time in Asia.. Still dreaming of getting to South America and seeing more of Europe. Have just this month been to Hong Kong to attend EVOLUTION Yoga Conference where i had the great privilage of taking workshops with teachers such as Sharon Gannon and David Life (Jivamukti), Seane Corne, Krishna Das, Mark Whitfield and Wade Morissette .
My main passions are travel and music. Have always played a bit of guitar and more recently got involved in African drumming groups. But pretty slack with both at the moment.
Have finally taken the plunge and cut meat from my diet. Been a long process getting to this point and it's not always easy but i've felt less and less comfortable about eating meat and a doco about factory farming moved me to tears and made me ill and consequently i've not touched meat since. I cannot support the industry any longer and hope that eventually there is more awareness in mainstream media about this atrocious treatment of animals. I don't ever want to preach what others should do , but believe that if we were to truly SEE what goes on, people would not accept it.**end of rant** :)
Passionate about human rights and equality and saddened and disillusioned often by our Governments actions and the fear and hatred that is being wipped up these days. Politics though is a more recent interest of mine that i've still ALOT to learn about. But the more I learn , the more I wanna change the world!!! :) Praying for a change of Government here in Australia this year !!!!!!

Television:

Books:

Shantaram.. Best book EVER !!! Stand by for the movie... Recently read A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry. Amazing writer, look forward to reading more by him. Enjoyed Paulina Simmons novels too. Mostly read non-fiction. Recently read The Ethics of What we eat by Peter Singer which is another brilliant book.

Heroes:

Plenty of people I admire. Don't know that i've got a hero as such.. Will keep pondering that one. Someone that moves me and touches me consistantly and that I have the utmost admiration for is Michael Franti. He speaks to my soul and without fail , I feel a little more faith in the world after one of his performances. I think he is doing great things in bringing about change and making people think in small ways.
