About Me

So you want to know who or what Klavier (a.k.a. the wanderer-hp)is, don't you? Judging by the name, you probably could very well guess that she's a pianist. But what you don't know is, as a kid, she had always been deeply convinced that she was going to be a ballerina. But alas, life had other plan for Klavier. She started playing around on the piano at age 4. I suppose you could say she was probably inspired by the music she heard from the ballet classroom. At age of 10, she decided to drop ballet completely, and focus on music. To make life more interesting, she also took up cello lessons as well. Even till today, she still once in a while feels like she's been caught between these two instruments, not knowing where to turn to. She swings between these two instruments as required, and swings between continants wherever her music leads to. Perhaps that's why she likes to call herself a wanderer as well.At this moment of time, Klavier has just done her Master's degree in piano in Vancouver, Canada. However, there's still an unsettled drive deep in her heart that urges her to go forward. Therefore, she is preparing to spread her wing and fly towards her next destination--somewhere in Europe, Germany perhaps? Speaking of wandering, no?For Klavier, one of her happiest moments is to be on stage. Don't get me wrong, she's far from a diva that demands attentions. On the other hand, she loves to share her biggest passion, that is music, with people. Perhaps that's why she's determined to be a performer, in any format. She enjoys playing solo; however, she certainly won't neglect the oppotunities to perform with her friends in the more intimate chamber music setting, not to mention to appear as a cello player from time to time.Has she ever written any music? Well... she often has some ideas formulating in her mind, and she fools around on the piano from time to time. But how should I put it... she's partially lazy, and partially too shy to write them down. But she was immensely inspired by some events and people just very recently, and had made the decision that she'll start putting her ideas down. Who knows, maybe something nice will come out. Let's hope so.»-(¯`v´¯)-» Design your MySpace with MyLook «-(¯`v´¯)-«

Music with no boundaries

Ever heard of a group called "Pink Martini"? A good friend of mine introduced me to their music a few days ago. What a great treat. I suppose a lot of people may take their music as archaic and eccent...

Big City Mentality?

Just coming back to Vancouver from New York City, somehow one question just keep hanging on my mind. Coming from the mild western Canada, showing courtesy seems to be just as normal as having water. I...
