Olivia Kingsbury is a passionate 18 year old solo artist hoping to "make it" in the music world. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in University, but wishes to tour around B.C and seriously pursue music after she graduates. After all, every striving musician needs a B plan.
Olivia composes all of the musical and lyrical content of her music. Her 5 track demo CD released in June of 06 features her singing, playing piano, and strumming the guitar. With over 40 songs, this young lady is constantly brewing new music and soon hopes to record more songs with her recent "Protools" skills which she learned in her "Sound" class in University this semester.
Olivia's music emits folk, acoustic and even rock qualities. She has been described as sounding like Joni Mitchell, Enya, Tori Amos, and has even received the comment of having an ethnic...in fact Arabic flare to her singing voice.
For practice, and to earn some cash, Olivia busks in front of the Sechelt Liquor Store. She also preforms at every local event she can get her hands on, and plays for charity events such as the Gibsons Elves Club Telethon. There, her community members support her musical journey by paying a listen, and even some change! This aspiring musician deeply appreciates all of the musical support given from her friends and strangers. Her biggest favor of YOU, would be to simply press the play button on one of her songs, kick back, and enjoy...
