BARNACLED

don't EVER give up

About Me

Barnacled is a sound-collective born in Providence at the turn of the millenium, dealing in realms as at-first-seemingly-disparate as interpretive composi-improvisation, neo-minimalist incidentalism, mindless repetition, and hot rockin'. We rehearse and play shows from time to time.

Influences:
Sounds Like: [regarding the Table No. 12 7" ep] "The A Side sounds like Mingus' 'Cumbia and Jazz Fusion' played as a Venusian polka while the B Side is a free form tinkler with nasty bowing, digesting electronics and clattering/chattering percussion. All the while those elements kick up dust, saxes anchor down the sound from flying too close to the sun by blowing pure cement from their bells. It's quite a holy thing."--Tony Rettman, Blastitude
Record Label: White Denim, Corleone, Baker Street
Type of Label: Indie
