MERAKHAAZAN is the solo project of french doublebassist Jean-Christophe Bournine (member of Marto ventouz, collaborations with theatre, dance...). This "one man band" explore the possibiities of electronics and self sampling (using a looper pédal) on a classical doublebass played as well "arco" as "pizzicato" and others "way of playing". The music of merakhaazan is a research of a personnal musical world including many influences from contemporary classic to expériment ambient stuffs, but also radical hardcore métal or "éléctronica like" forms. Dark lights, deep saturations, hypnotic loops, sweet violence and zen passages. between acoustic and amplification: a building game for solo doublebassist.
