Cliché Boys est un groupe de Metal formé en 2002 à Nice. La formation initiale, composée d'un guitariste, un bassiste et un batteur, ne sera complétée qu'en 2005 avec l'arrivée d'un second guitariste et d'un chanteur. La musique du groupe est délibérement basée sur la puissance et la lourdeur ainsi que l'aspect sombre des ambiances qu'elle intègre.
Début Mars 2007, le groupe enregistre son premier E.P. intitulé Overstated qui sortira trois semaines plus tard. Cet enregistrement a été produit par Gaël Hallier (batteur des groupes Sikh et Vetha) et Cliché Boys. Dès sa sortie, le quatre titres a su rapidement susciter l'intérêt du publique , l'ambiance présente lors des concerts ne faisant que confirmer cette tendance.
Une version remixée du premier E.P. a également été remasterisée par Mats ''Limpan'' Lindfors au Cutting Room (Meshuggah, In Flames, Soilwork, Rammstein, etc...), Stockholm, Suède. Cette nouvelle version d' Overstated est disponible depuis fin Novembre 2007.
Cliché Boys is a Metal band based in Nice, south-eastern France. The band was formed in late 2002 (back then, it only featured one guitar, bass and drums) and got completed with additional guitarist and singer in 2005. Their music is a mix of heavy, power and groove but also incorporates dark ambient tones.
On early March 2007, the band is recording his first E.P. called Overstated, which is released three weeks later. The record has been produced by Gaël Hallier (french bands Sikh and Vetha' s drummer) and Cliché Boys. From its release, the four tracks quickly created a growing interest from the public, and the audience' s attitude at the live shows only confirmed this tendency.
Remixed version of the first E.P. has also been remastered by Mats ''Limpan'' Lindfors at Cutting Room (Meshuggah, In Flames, Soilwork, Rammstein, etc...), Stockholm, Sweden. This new version of Overstated is available since late November 2007.
