DEVIANT MESSIAH - SACRIFICE BY GORE (Live @ Tours, March 2008)

DEVIANT MESSIAH is a young band of modern Black/Death Metal from LeMans, France. Born in September 2007 from the ashes of GothMetal IN MEMORIAN with Benj Tonio & Jr, they wanted to make more harsh and aggressive music, taking inspiration from all extreme metal subgenres, like Thrash/Black/Death/etc. They called up Déhà , from Belgium, to be a full time singer and they managed then to get Nico (from Dioxine/Le Mans) on the bass.
Then, the line up was formed and keeped as this : Benj (Compo/Guitars), Déhà (Compo/Vocals/Keys), Tonio (Guitars), Jr (Drums) & Nico (Bass). Déhà also recorded/mixed/mastered the debut demo "2008 Demo", which contains 4 tracks and an outro. It is either selled for the price you want to put in, or given for free as it is mainly for promotional use.
Now, the band's looking for gigs to do in France and/or Belgium. News songs are written and ready to rock out on stage and the band can't wait for it! They will play in TOURS (France) on 23rd March 2008 for first gig ever.
Let's go within the members :
. Benjamen, aka Benj is one of the founders of the band, and is the main composer. Born in 1986, practicing guitar for 7years, played in 'In Memorian' goth band (with Tonio & Jr), mostly likes Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Vesania, Anorexia Nervosa, Emperor but also Air, Mylene Farmer or Thievery Corp. He looks like a calm soul, but he ain't. He's an alcoholic sicko.
. Antoine, aka Tonio is also a founder member of the band and guitarist. Born in 1987 in Le Mans, he's been a guitar player for 'round 5years. He also played in InMemorian and got the idea to make Deviant Messiah with his brother (Jr) and his fellow friend, Benj. Influences from Norther, CoB, Jari Mäenpää, Zonaria, Anorexia Nervosa, Insomnium, to Deathstars, Dimmu, Shape Of Despair, but also classical epic music, triphop, choir stuff, ... He's more into sharing passion, live experiences, and not to be bored with technical musical discussions.
. Ben (aka Junior) is the last founder member and the drummer behind DM. Born in 1989, played also in 'In Memorian', practicing for 4years, mostly likes Vader, Zonaria, Amon Amarth, COB, Catamenia, but also AC/DC, blues, hard rock & Gronibard. Brutality, difficulty, conviviality & friendship are his words. He is also an alcoholic sicko and looks like a non metaller.
. Nico aka Nico (so what?) is the last member to get in the band, he rocks on the bass. Born in 1978, he is the oldest soul but not the purest. He plays in Dioxine and took part in metal associations. Mostly likes Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Obituary, ACDC, Metallica, ... but also movies soundtracks, the only Cypress Hill, classical & indus music. He is a geek, even if its not useful to know it. He DOES look like a fkin metaller, at least!
. Déhà (with 2 accents, yes) is the vocalist, co composer & keys. Born in 1985 in Belgium (and still there), he played in Ithilien and has many solo projects . Main influences go from Khanate, Sick Of It All, Sunn O))), Mayhem, Dimmu, Mutiilation, Eminem, and many more shit he's not ashamed of. He's also the recorder, mixer, masteriser, producer, motherfucker of the band. He is a geek, a mental diseased soul and he'll make your ears fucking bleed.
The main influences of Deviant Messiah come from Black and Death Metal of any sub-styles, adding a more modern touch, violent and aggressive sounding. A music from metalheads for metalheads. Lyrically, the main themes mixes antireligious thoughts, gore and sick variations, the overall sounding implicit and explicit at the same way. A mixing of Black & Death with Modern touch, we said.

DEVIANT MESSIAH est un jeune groupe de Black/Death Metal moderne du Mans, France. Né en septembre 2007 des cendres du groupe de GothMetal IN MEMORIAN avec Benj Tonio & Jr, ceux-ci voulaient faire de la musique plus violente et agressive s’inspirant de tous les sous-genres du métal extrême, comme Thrash/Black/Death/Etc.Ils ont appelé Déhà , de Belgique, pour être un chanteur permanent et ils ont réussi à ce que Nico (de Dioxine / Le Mans) devienne leur bassiste. Le line up resta inchangé:Benj(Compo/Guitares), Déhà (Compo/Voix/Claviers), Tonio (Guitares), Jr (Batterie) & Nico (Basse).Les influences de DM viennent du Black et du Death Metal, peu importe les sous-styles, avec une touche moderne, violente et un son agressif. Un son de metalleux pour metalleux. Quant aux paroles, elles mêlent antireligion, gore et variations malsaines. Déhà a aussi enregistré/mixé/mastérisée la première demo "2008 Demo", qui contient 4 morceaux et une outro, avant tout en vue de faire la promo du groupe. Maintenant, le groupe recherche des dates à faire en France et/ou en Belgique.Des nouvelles musiques sont écrites et prêtes à être jouées sur scène, et le groupe est prêt à s’exprimer en public! DM s’est produit à TOURS (France) le 23 Mars 2008 pour la première fois, en compagnie des groupes français Arntor et BlissofFlesh, et reste près à repartir sur les routes !

Né en 1986, grattant depuis 7ans, a joué dans "In Memorian" (groupe goth metal avec Jr. et Tonio), aime beaucoup DimmuBorgir, Behemoth, Vesania, Anorexia Nervosa, Emperor, mais aussi Air, Mylène Farmer ou Thievery Corp. On dirait qu'il est tout calme, mais absolument pas. C'est un gros malade alcoolique.
. Antoine, aka Tonio est aussi un des membres originels, il est guitariste. Né en 1987, il joue depuis +/- 5ans. Norther, CoB, Jari Mäenpää, Zonaria, Anorexia Nervosa, Insomnium, ou Deathstars, Dimmu, Shape Of Despair, mais aussi du classique, de l'épique, triphop, totu ca... Il est plutôt dans l'échange de passions, du live, et n'aime pas se faire chier dans des discussions techniques à propos de matos.
. Ben (aka Junior) est le dernier membre fondateur et le batteur derrière DM. Né en 1989, joue depuis 4ans, aime Vader, Zonaria, Amon Amarth, CoB, Catamenia mais aussi AC/DC, blues, hardrock & Gronibard. Brutalité, difficulté, convivialité et amitié sont ses mots. C'est aussi un gros alcoolo et ressemble pas du tout à un métalleux.
. Nico aka Nico (bah quoi?) est le dernier membre à être rentré dans le groupe, il y fait la basse. Né en 1978, il reste lep lus vieux mais pas le plus pur. Il joue dans Dioxine et a participé dans des assos de metal. Aime Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Obituary, ACDC, Metallica... mais aussi des bandes originales de films, CypressHill, classique et indus. C'est un geek, même si c'est pas utile de le savoir. Lui AU MOINS ressemble a un vrai métalleux.
. Déhà (avec 2 accents, ouaip) est le vocaliste, co-compositeur et clavériste. Né en 1985 en Belgique (et y est toujours), il a joué dans Ithilien et a beaucoup de projets en solo . Influences principales sont Khanate, Sick Of It All, Sunn O))), Mayhem, Dimmu, Mütiilation, Eminem et plein de trucs qu'il n'a pas honte d'écouter. C'est aussi le mec derrière la preprod, la prod et la post prod du son de DM. C'est un geek, un malade mental et il fera saigner tes oreilles.
Les influences de DM viennent du Black et du Death Metal, peu importe les sous-styles, en ajoutant une touche moderne, violente et du son aggressif. Une zique de metalleux pour metalleux. En paroles, c'est un mélange d'antireligion, de gore et de variations malsaines, le tout sonnant implicite & explicite en même temps. Un mélange de black et death, comme on a dit.
Deux morceaux complets sont disponibles enfin! Il s'agit de deux tracks de la démo sobrement intitulée "2008 Demo".
