About Me
The birth of Imperial Conquest can be traced back ten years ago with the rise of the band Perpetual. In 1996, band members Endel(guitars and vocals), Omar(lead guitars), Fernan(keyboards) and Rafy(drums) decided to create a Death metal band that incorporated an even mix of brutality and melodies in order to achieve the necessary originality to break through the underground scene of the time. Soon after, the demo entitled “Tales of Time†was released, quickly gaining a foothold in the local Death Metal scene. Over time, especially after numerous successful shows, Perpetual was signed and released the “Ad Perpetuam Rei Memoriam†EP in 1998. The EP received huge support and outstanding reviews from local and international media. Sadly, later that year, Perpetual’s members decided to part ways due to internal differences. This critical event prompted the creation of the now infamous Imperial Conquest.
Sometime after Perpetual’s sudden demise, founding member Fernan(a.k.a. Titannus) moved to Florida in hopes of starting the musical empire he always longed to create. With the legacy of the now defunct Perpetual under his belt, he ventured in a quest to uncover the best and most aggressive musicians to fulfill his vision. Shortly, he joined forces with an old friend, the legendary Lord Tartarus, who was the founder, bassist and vocalist of the brutal Death Metal band Tortura. The couple burned with the desire to unleash the most intense and groundbreaking band ever created, and after much pondering on the concept they concocted the formula of their new band…Imperial Conquest.
Riffs flowed in every rehearsal, just like old times, since the couple had played together in previous side projects like Queen Succuba and Legion Machete, further accelerating the rapid creation of new and powerful songs. It was obvious that their musicianship was as strong as ever, and songs started to build up with ease. Luck struck some time later, when Lord Tartarus discovered the talents of the drum extraordinaire Baator, who eagerly utilized his impressive drumming skills to unleash hell every single song they played. With the aid of intense rehearsing, the triumvirate gathered enough material to record a rehearsal from which the song “Initium Regni†was extracted and posted in the band’s official Myspace site. The song has received an overwhelming response from the international scene, furthering the efforts to establish a musical stronghold worldwide. Imperial Conquest’s innovative approach to the standard applications of extreme metal has gained them the title of Iconoclastic Black metal, or Metal that breaks the boundaries of the norm and establishes new and definitive paths to achieve sonic annihilation. A full length recording is expected sometime this year, which will include 8 of the best songs brought forth by the band. Soon, the full force of Imperial Conquest will be felt, as a curtain of relentless and hateful power will descend upon the masses. All hail the victorious dead, Initium Regni has begun…….
