meeting people, producing events, dressing up/costumes, fetishists & freaks of every imaginable stripe, Burning Man, dancing, 80s music, flirting shamelessly, BEER, hmm, I think that's most of it...
other event producers; talented performers: bands, burlesque dancers, performance artists, DJs, etc.; other burners; FUN people!
Oy, I don't believe in buying music anymore. And I don't download. For me music is about who you're with and what you're doing, and most of what I hear is incidental...don't have much control over it...nightclub situations. If I had to program an iPod for myself, which I probably wouldn't do, I'd want Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, anything punk, anything 70s, anything 80s, and the few more recent bands that don't suck.
My favorite movie is It's a Wonderful Life, which should tell you a lot. But I also love Clockwork Orange, Wizard of Oz, Taxi Driver, Falling Down, Brainstorm, White Christmas, Network, musicals, horror movies and caper flicks.
SICK Law & Order fan, Wheel of Fortune (makes me feel like a genius!), CNN and NY1, mindless sitcoms, Six Feet Under, Curb Your Enthusiasm, anything with John Stossel, The Apprentice (I know, I should be ashamed)...mostly whatever's on when I feel like a vegetable.
Books? You think I read? Okay, the obvious: Geek Love, Confederacy of Dunces, Charlotte's Web, The Hobbit, Stephen King, predictable pablum. Loved The Life of Pi, Stones in the River, House of Sand and Fog...My mom reads a book a day, practically, so I read whatever she recommends and usually promptly forget it...
