We are smart, artsy, funky and different, just like the people we are here to meet. We are a killer angel/devil, writer/artist duo that has been navigating the online personals scene for the past two years, as well as leading a budget party-girl lifestyle here in New York City. We are looking to share our hard-earned knowledge with others...and to party with them, while we're at it. Our email list spreads the word on underground happenings in NYC you'd otherwise never hear about, and our own events bring our creatives' community offline.
Our parties:
Our parties have become legendary, from over-the-top Mardi Gras blowouts to fondue gatherings to Tiki shindigs to the unforgettable Russian baths party with a live gypsy band (that one got us into the Village Voice Best of 2006 list). Our events are usually marked by offbeat themes, fantastic costumes, mind-blowing music, burlesque and circus performances, and wild dancing into the morning.
Our next event:
"Swing House": Based on the smash success of our Valentine's Day "Roaring 20th" event, we've launched a stylish vintage-themed monthly dance party, with music from the early 20th century played live and in remixed DJ sets. Add in costumes, projections, fire, dancers, burlesque, floor performances, and other unpredictable stuff, and you have a signature Gemini & Scorpio party, for the first time in a monthly format. Last month's launch attracted 400 swingin' hepcats--as well as attention of renowned culture guide Flavorpill, which published some snazzy pics from the event.
