Scott Kacenga

Scott Kacenga arrived in New York City in 2002 after graduating from Skidmore College with a B.A. in music. He soon became involved in the music scene, playing in several bands and a variety of styles including Rock, funk, and jazz. Scott recently graduated from the New York University Jazz program with a masters in Jazz Performance. Scott was a member of the faculty as an adjunct guitar instructor at New York Universtiy and NYU Summer Jazz Guitar Intensive, where he led guitar ensembles focused on sight reading and improvisation. In the NYU graduate program, Scott has been fortunate to study with guitarist Bruce Arnold, saxophonist George Garzone, and trumpeter Brian Lynch. Performances of note include Blue Note with Kenny Werner NYU ensemble, the Garage with the NYU Latin Jazz ensemble, and performances at various venues with the NYU repertory ensemble. Scott currently instructs guitar in Connecticut and can be heard with his band at Supreme Trading in Brooklyn.
