The EMMPH 10 is the answer to the query posed by its co-leaders:
"How can we have a creative outlet for our original music?"EMMPH 10 was founded by Elleni Maureas and Mike Hyziak (hence the EMM + MPH = EMMPH), who are both graduates of NYU with their Masters degrees. This group, formed in October 2006, consists of students (and alumni) from NYU, who all share the same passion of searching for an individual voice, without fear of ridicule, while still being able to get along with each other.
Our goal is to promote new, original music to the audience, staying away from simple standard arrangements and store-bought music. This offer extends to anyone in the NYU communtiy, and of course, to anyone outside of the immediate NYU area...
