Undoubtedly a trendsetter in many ways; Bud is turning out universal sounds rooted in Reggae/Soca genres. This lyrical mastermind has captured our hearts since the tender age of 16 and now delivers powerful messages from life experience and everyday ghetto survival.Everybody’s talking about Bud, who is blazing his way into the International Music Scene like a lightening bolt cutting across the calm Caribbean Sea. Bud is currently working to promote his inspirational song “Shine”. This song was written and executive produced by Bud produce by Sam Archer and Gina Lipscomb. There is also much talk of the catchy way in which he delivers the new song “Walk and Wine” written and executive produced by Marlon “Sockit” Clarke and produced by Bud and Sam Archer. He has also recorded “Jah Love” written by Bud produce by John Esquire, courtesy of Vibe Cast.Amongst the aforementioned songs, Bud will also break grounds with “Raise It Up” which he wrote as a wake up call for all people, the song was produced by D Trell and Peter of Sound Temple. The rise of the star, Bud, has not gone unrecognized by American prime time television. He was contracted by the World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. to record another song that will be played as an introduction when a wrestler enters the arena to face his opponent. In addition to all of his projects, Bud recently recorded “Why you’d Lie” with Brick and Lace produced by Full Force.Bud has a portfolio unlike many other artist, he made an appearance on Britney Spears’ album on Jive Records, “In The Zone” on the tune “The Hook Up.” Also, he has released “My Everything” on the “Mamacita Riddim” album produced by Edwin Howell and “Cry” produced by Tony ‘CD’ Kelly on the “Grindin Riddim” album, both on the VP Records Riddim Driven Series. Bud also recorded a single with Wyclef Jean on Wyclef’s “Creole” album and he also recorded a track with Full Force for the late Gerald Levert and some of the company’s upcoming acts. How can one artist create such a tense fusion amongst people through his music?Born in Jamaica, Bud first sang as a boy in the church choir. Bud comes from a musical family and from early on, he would watch and learn from his parents when they often delighted audiences with their vocal renditions of many types of tunes. Upon moving to New York in his early teen years, Bud was always singing when hanging with his friends who encouraged him to sing at his graduation ceremony. In high school, he joined the Wingate High School choir where he was nourished on a rich diet of many styles of music, such as Gospel and R&B, to name a few. Bud was so impassioned with music that he spent most of his time in the music room at school, and when not in the music room, studying his craft and appearing in every talent show that he could find. It is no surprise that Bud won numerous awards such as "Best Male Voice and Best Performance" (several times), and was officially honored by New York City for “Excellence In Music”.By his senior year in High School Bud had developed a “grassroots” Reggae following. As a result, he was able to tour with and be featured on the Brooklyn based Reggae sound system Black Creation. During that period of time, he also performed with Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man to name a few. One day, while singing on the stoop to his house, Bud’s soulful voice caught the ear of Devon George, a Trinidadian producer who would introduce him to “Soca”, another genre of Caribbean music. With his tune, "Man Ah Bad Man" Bud single-handedly created a new trend in Soca music. "Man Ah Bad Man" is a soul driven ballad that appeals to men with its humble yet masculine message, while melting women with its melodic romantic overtones. Bud’s "Man Ah Bad Man" quickly shot to the top of the 1998 Caribbean charts and he has since been in high demand for international appearances. His natural ability to bestow his audiences with heartfelt feelings, and Bud’s truly unique interpretive phrasing are incomparable. Before long he performed with every major Soca act including Machel Montano and Iwer George, the two people he credits most with teaching him what Soca culture is all about. While Bud’s song, Man Ah Bad Man” was hitting the charts at 1 in the Caribbean during the years 1998 and 1999, Bud was touring the Caribbean, the U.S. and Canada. During this period of time, Bud also was sharing shows with Beres Hammond (for which he appeared on the national television show, “Good Morning America”), Shaggy, Buju Banton, Bounty Killa, Lexxus, and Lucky Dube. Bud wound up the year completing the "Triple Spin" tour and teaming up with Producer Tony Kelly. He then returned to his" Roots" in Jamaica in the year 2000, in order to draw from his experiences and forge new pathways in his music. In 2002, Bud returned to the charts with his party anthem "Tonight", produced by Tony Kelly for K-Licious Music and distributed by VP Records. He then followed up with "Love U" produced by Bulpuss for Tuff-Gong Records. Bud also shared the stage with the likes of, Barrington Levy, Elephant Man, Wayne Wonder, Bunji Garlin, Benjai, Blazer, Steel Pulse, and Anselm Douglas, to name a few. From intimate nightclubs in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean Islands, to The Ritz Plaza Hotel in Miami, Florida, The National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, and Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, Bud is captivating audiences. When you hear Bud’s power and the sensitivity in his voice, you will know why he is receiving so many accolades by journalists, critics, and his fellow artists. Now, the song that was recorded in 2003 is on everybody lips. "Take A Wine" proves that Bud will have continued success!Every once in awhile an artist appears on the horizon that shakes up the music world. Singer/songwriter Bud is like the rising sun. His golden voice will touch your soul like a ray of sunlight.
