Arent we tired of rappers recklessly approaching the music with the same subject matter and the same styles? Why does it seem that everyone is imitating the flavor of the month? Cloning is illegal in the US. We need a rebirth-a renaissance. Shamellion Rebellion is that renaissance group.
Shamello Durant, the ingenious multi-platinum producer most noted for hip-hop classics such as 'Put Ya Hands Where My Eyes Can See' by Busta Rhymes and the pivotal Poison album by Bell Biv Devoe, has embarked on a new label venture that promises to ignite and excite music lovers of all descriptions. The first release on the Alshamighty Land Wreckitz label is the super group known as Shamellion Rebellion. The Shamellion Rebellion debut album (Welcome 2 Alshamighty Land) promises to be one of the most groundbreaking projects of our time.
Shamellion Rebellion is comprised of 12 uniquely innovative entertainers that have cohesively joined forces to provide the listeners with a new, refreshingly intelligent brand of hip-hop. The movement is fashioned in the likeness of Danny Oceans band of thieves in Oceans 11 & 12. Each Rebellion member boasts a specific musical gift that complements the various talents of each fellow band mate. Unlike Danny Oceans band of thieves, however, this band steals shows instead of robbing casinos. Their stage show has been critically acclaimed as one of the greatest stage events in the tri-state area.
The Shamellion Rebellion, lead by its General Shamello, is comprised of Gauge, Bunji Garlin, Intelligence, NJN, S.I., Kwire B-Z, Hakeem the Dream, Spydamann, Dirty Dirk, Tiffany Wilson, Ol Skool and DJ Lexey. The multi-platinum production teams of Producers Coalition of America, Full Force, and Abnormal have nurtured the uplifting, rhythmic sound of the Rebellion. The music and the artistry of this group is inspired by all musical genres; from soca and r&b to rock-n-roll and hip-hop. The storylines of each song are fun, candid, interesting and often times comedic.
