QuaShawna

Amongst DJs and club-goers you cannot imagine the talented vocalist Mizz QuaShawna missing! Born in South Korea QuaShawna is skilled in styles such as R&B, Ballades, Rap and Crunk proving that she is proficient in commercial as well as underground styles. The stage presence of the 24-year-old all-rounder (QuaShawna the singer, rapper and songwriter), who grew up in Germany, not rarely induces the fans in the clubs to great waves of enthusiasm.
In 2004 QuaShawna experienced her national break-through in the music scene after spontaneously having teamed up with DJ Prime, member of Mystikal Tunes, to record a cover version. Her version of “Why you wanna know” meet with great response amongst DJs and club-goers. Following up on the overwhelmingly positive resonance the R&B tracks “Can’t hold back” and “I like” featuring Rapper Young Jayo were recorded. The commercial track “I like”, which was launched on the market as single, quickly advanced to become a hit in the clubs.The track received airplays by such popular stations as Radio Bremen 4, N-Joy Radio, Antenne, Jam FM, Bremen 4, etc. Furthermore, “I like” was utilized as title track for the “Soul 4 Sun Tour”-commercial aired on VIVA TV.
Teamed with DJ & Producer Team Mystikal Tunes and Rapper Young Jayo, QuaShawna has performed on numerous stages as singer and female MC. Starting off with well-known events and clubs in Northwest Germany bookings soon followed in the whole of Germany. The clubs amongst which QuaShawna has performed include Go Parc (Herford), Index (Schüttorf), Fun Factory (Wildeshausen), Top 10 (Singen) and NYTD (Kassel), etc. belonging to “who is who” club scene in Germany.
The participation in the famous Balearic R&B-Music-Summertour “Soul 4 Sun” in 2004 added to her popularity amongst fans. Moreover, numerous special events substantiate the level of high quality QuaShawna delivers not only publicly but also in the music industry. These events included performances in the R&B- and Hip Hop Music area of the biggest national club trade fair “Discocontact” and performances in the black music area of “DJ Meetings” one of the most important German DJ Conventions (in 2005 & 2006).
On the previously released Black Music Report-Promo-Sampler she is represented amongst Danny Fernandes with Mystikal Tunes and the wonderful song “My Apology”. Within the next couple of weeks QuaShawna’s first Demo CD, manifesting her vocalist and songwriting skills, will be released. Record labels and publishers should watch out there is more to come!
