About Me

Pasadena started with a simple plan to write and play music that is personally pleasing. We're not trying to fill in the major lable stylistic gaps, we've never claimed to be reinventing the wheel, and truthfully don't exactly know what to call what we do. All we do know is that we got a little older, slowly our converse got swapped out for old boots, our t-shirts went from black to brown, and we found ourselves constantly passing over our tried and true cd selections for this new magic we'd found in Wilco and Whiskeytown albums. This lifestyle or musical revelation isn't a product of a Blockbuster Johnny Cash movie or the amount of readily available western style shirts at every local thrift store, but instead it's a settleing in, a laid back approach to creating music. Pasadena works with the understanding that responsibilities and relationships cast a huge shadow over this little band. Is there a danger that it could get lost in the shadows? Sure...but who cares. Our music is no frills, American rock made for anyone with an eager ears and open minds. We hope that southern hospitaliity oozes from every note of our twangy little songs. Thanks Pasadena
