View: Pics | Videos Phil Prescott was born in Lowell, Massachusetts. Phil began singing at the age of 11, after losing his grandfather to cancer. Phil and his grandfather listened to country music since he was a child, which eventually led Phil to pursue a career in country music.

Phil moved to Tennessee in August, 2005 to pursue his career full-time. His debut album is slated to be released in 2008 after 16 years of a career that started singing to the elderly in nursing and retirement homes. "I've met hundreds of people who tell me they believe I can make it to the top, or that I need to share my gift with the world. I want to make it for those people, because I truly appreciate all their support. I've been given the chance to find out if they're right, I guess time will tell."
Phil has already been working with songwriters and been in the studio trying new things out. Although it's still in the early stages of development, there are some great songs already in the works. Phil previewed some of songwriter Sean Cunningham's work, and the two have been collaborating and plan to in the future. Cunningham is a native of Phil's hometown and has been writing music for several years. The album will feature some of Sean's songs along with Phil's original material. There are also other creative collaborations in the works that will be made known at a later date.
