The Beggars' Guild

Like the very first day of a brand new year.

About Me

The motivation of The Beggars' Guild is simple:
To write, record and perform songs that people love. They've only just begun.

Drawing from classic influences such as Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen, as well as more recent songsmiths like The Replacements, Counting Crows, Del Amitri, and Pedro The Lion, The Beggars' Guild blends elements of rock, blues, country, folk and pop into tunes that are honest, catchy and distinctly likeable.
Their debut EP, "Breaking Me Down", released on the Favorite Gentlemen imprint (Manchester Orchestra, Estates) features a strong collection of songs ranging from the Roots/pop "Minnesota" and the title track, to the haunting, folk/country gem "21", and the driving rock of "Old Town".
"Breaking Me Down" was produced by Dan Hannon, who recently produced indie buzz-band Manchester Orchestra's "I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child" and triple Dove Award winner Aaron Shust's debut album "Anything Worth Saying", as well as his highly anticipated follow up album, "Whispered and Shouted". The band is currently in the studio with producer Chris Unck, who is producing Butch Walker's upcoming live DVD.
The Beggars' Guild plays American rock without pretense. Great songs, great players, and an honest voice.
