Myspace BackgroundsMyspace Contact TablesMisti was born in a small town, Dawson Springs, Ky. "My Dad was in the military so I grew up along the east coast...but mostly in Jacksonville Beach, FL. THAT is where I had always called "home." When her Dad retired and moved the family back to Kentucky, where both of her parents were born and raised, she realized and began to learn where her "roots" were, who she REALLY was, and where she "came from." "I didn't know until that point that deep down I was a "country girl." Country was in my blood. I guess as the old saying goes... "You can take a girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl!" Misti has sang and been on stage her entire life. "I remember sitting in my room as a young child, 5 or 6 years old, listening to Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Debbie Boone records that belonged to my Momma. I would sing along for HOURS. During holidays we'd come back to Kentucky to spend time with my grandparents. When ALL of the family was there I would be sure get my little stool out and would have everyone sit and watch me "put on my shows." :) My family never complained...I guess that's what family is for, huh???" Growing up Misti had MANY musical influences including Loretta Lynn, Dolly, Debbie Boone, Stevie Nicks, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Janis Joplin and later in life, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert and OF COURSE Gretchen Wilson. Misti has performed on the "Live At Libby's" Radio Show and have been a part of many variety country shows across western Kentucky. She is currently performing as a part of "THE ROCK'N ROW GIRLS," a monthly showcase of female artists held at THE HOLLYWOOD DISCO in Nashville. "ROCK'N ROW GIRLS" is a high energy show...full of excitement and good times. Misti is also currently working with a new producer and will be in the studio in the upcoming months.
