Four a.m. eternal formed in Palermo in November 2004 by the union of guitarist Claudio Cataldi and bassist Francesco Troja with the drummer Romualdo Pezzati and the singer Carmen Gulino. Their common musical background is the early-eighties new wave-post punk sound (Joy Division, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure, Wire) mixed with some 90s influences. Since the new and definitive- drummer Stefano Bartolmei joins the band in February 2005, Four A.M. Eternal immediately starts composing their own music and playing live. In November 2005 the first demo, Almost, is recorded and released in concerts, musical shops and by internet. Their first album, Ambivalence, is recorded between January and February 2006; after the recordings Francesco Troja leaves the band and is replaced by Federico Ghersi. In Spring 2006 the band comes back again in live shows to promote the album, which gets very good rewiews by important webzines such as Rockit, Ver Sacrum, Ascension Magazine and L'Erba Della Strega. After a long stop period, Four A.M. Eternal have been starting the works on a new EP since Summer '07.
