About Me

Emerging from the basement only to return to the basement, MFA is a pet project. We are a "band" based upon the priciple that being in a band is very high maintenance. We love what we do and take it seriously, but c'mon, let's have some fun with it.
Upon the demise of Zero Beat, Matt summonsed Jim for the black art of percussion to conjure the rock in the Fall of 2003. Sharing a mutual love for the dark evil that is power pop, we composed songs that would crumble nations, or at least be fun for us to play. We found Sedlar through a friend of a friend, and he is now rocking the suburbs with us from a spacious Echo.
So here we are a year later… playing shows, recording songs, writing songs, talking about music, spending way too much time and money on beer and such trivial conversation as "which is better Van Hagar, or Van Halen with David Lee Roth," and hoping to share the fun with other people who just love music.
