About Me

The year is 2008. I'm not sure if anyone gives a flying flip about music anymore. But crazy MFs like Brice Woodall can't hear that noise. He and his Positrons are way too busy making a ruckus of their own. This May, Brice Woodall and the Positrons are all set to unleash their latest Sine Wave Sea on AEMMP records. They will then take to the road and play their hearts out for you. And fulfill their unspoken goal of doling out 1,000,000 hugs by 2009.Though he now lives in the great windy city of Chicago, Woodall is from Richmond, VA. A quick jog to Wikipedia reveals that trailblazing tennis man Arthur Ashe hails from there as well. And that the state motto is Sic Itur Ad Astra, which means "Thus do we reach the stars." And it's also where textbook hero Patrick Henry uttered his "Give me liberty or give me death." This ain't Aly and AJ, kids; better hold onto the railing. One can reasonably expect a well-rounded, textured, and lavish affair from Woodall and his Positrons. As musicians, they're all double, triple-threat musicians. As humans, well ? you'll have to find out by attending one of their raucous shows. What you get then, is an endless bounty of good things. Songcraft. Haunting melodies. Heaps of feeling. Electronic burbles, coos, and purrs. Whispers from the crowd that suggest that Brice Woodall and the Positrons would be in good company with other up-and-comers like Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Wilco, and U2. Like those bands, Brice Woodall and the Positrons' strikingly unique tunes can bear repeated listenings; go on and try.Notable Events: March 2008-Chicago, IL Brice Woodall and the Positrons sign to AEMMP Records (Columbia College)February 2008-UK Brice Woodall and the Positrons tour the UK. Included in the tour, an XM Satellite Radio session @ Abbey Road Studio, and a gig at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.August 2006- Indianapolis, IN www.midwestmusicsummit.com Brice Woodall and The Bots performed at the Midwest Music SummitOctober 2005 ?
