About Me

The first record, “The SuperSmashers,” was a full length album put out in December of 2003 on the band’s own label, Neutral Run Records. The album was a conglomeration of several genres, punk, ska, and hardcore, showing the large influences of each member. While the band was growing as musicians, so was their motivation for playing more shows.
The band continued playing shows around their hometown until the summer of 2004, when many of the members parted ways to go college. Most of the band located to St. Paul, Minnesota but still played sporadic shows during this time, including some of their bigger shows with bands like Streetlight Manifesto, Big D and the Kids Table, the Flatliners, None More Black, Mustard Plug, Westbound Train the Secretions and Much the Same and the Swellers.
In 2005, they released their next album, “Another Friday Night,” on Neutral Run. The new EP showed much growth past their first album, musically and lyrically. At this time, the SuperSmashers were coming up with more merchandise ideas to compliment their two albums; all the while staying a completely independent, DIY band.
In 2006 the band gained a new bass player, Mr. Jay Danger, found by a mutual friend. More shows have been played and booked in 2006 than any year prior to. The band did their first, short Midwest tour in the summer of ‘06 and began writing songs for another full length album in the fall. Another week long tour in the Midwest happened in January or 07’. In March of 2007 they started recording their new full length album, "Someday." A two week tour of the Midwest and East Coast happened in June 0f 07’. The end of 07’ should be a little busy with a handful of local shows and some other stuff to be mentioned later.
