All play and no work makes life awesome!

About Me

The Complete History of Todd, AbridgedThe city of Chicago casts a long shadow on the suburbs. From this shadow emerges four over-fed, beer-chugging rockers who could probably kick your ass in a pillow fight. She Likes Todd has been a band now for almost 19 years, but only really started getting good somewhere within the last 47 hours. After releasing like a Brazilian shitty CDs, She Likes Todd finally stole enough riffs to write "Falling Much Too Fast." This was their first full length that really made any kind of musical sense, but this didn't matter since 2005 was a super shitty year anyway. Following moderate local success and the band's first excursion into the world of touring, She Likes Todd quickly decided to beat the tunes like dead horses.
After 2-years of the same fucking songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, SLT was finally prodded to write some new music. Harnessing their unrivaled powers of laziness and under achievement, the band sought fit to write only half of an album for a 2007 split with Rule 22 [who also suck] for the aptly titled "Lifestyles of the Poor and Fameless." In a staggering stroke of sloth, the band brought on an additional member to help further differ fiscal and creative responsibility. That CD wound up as crap and should be burned immediately after you buy it. Either way. After narrowly getting the fucking things back from duplication both bands quickly fled west under the guise of "touring;" merely an excuse to quit work for a few weeks and escape nagging vaginas yelling at us to "clean off the keyboard and start paying rent." [and guilt-trip people into buying merch, giving us free beer, or a place to stay] This was perfectly okay though, since 2007 was a super fucking shitty year anyway.
Now our heroes are on the cusp of [probably] another shitty year of trying to convince people that decent Chicago music sounds nothing like what you're spoon-fed, and will probably have to self-plagiarize to create fresherer material that will probably rock your fucking face off. We are planning this for sometime in 2008.
We here at SLT-HQ feel that this is an incredibly exciting point in the ending adolescence of our band. Even if the new album doesn't wind up curing cancer, blowing up a corporate media, getting us more free beer, providing transparency of government, replacing a fiat currency, or giving everyone ear boners, it should at least be a cool bunch of music about life with the Chicago we know and love. Throughout this growing year we plan on booking as many shows as we possibly can. We'll keep trying new beers but switch back to old ones. We'll laugh about everything and everyone. We'll find ways to play faster and louder and awesomer.
All we care about is meeting new friends, hanging out with old ones, and fiercely staving off the notion that we have any obligations outside of the notes.
The next 365 days on the rip-off ride we all call life will bring fleeting [and most likely, unfulfilled] notions of permanence for everyone. We strongly urge you to spend some of them with everyone in She Likes Todd.
The only thing that makes this miniscule interruption in non-existence a lot of fun is the company, anyway. We wanna meet you.

So yeah, fuck that demo. [For damn good reason.]

Fuck a demo song. The quality was ok, but why should we waste our time on a track that won't make it to the final cut? Exactly. We've still got the rest of an album to write!Outside of one of the m...

Demo update! December cheer!

So the mix on the free song's been going slow. It's a bit difficult when you only have 3 hours of studio time to work with at once. It's bitch to rebuild a mix simply to improve it. Additionally, I'm...
