About Me

I am a fine artist working in photography and painting. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and received my BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin. I lived in Oklahoma for two years and just moved to Dunkirk, NY with my husband, composer/conductor, Rob Deemer .

I am interested in all kinds of contemporary art, but my personal work focuses on capturing personality and character ranging from a photo journalistic style to layered abstraction. Please view my work at LoriDeemer.com and feel free to drop me a line.

My sister and I are identical twins, and love the special relationship of being so alike and yet so unique at the same time. She is creative, but passionate about chemistry and organization.

Rob and I are both active in the visual arts, music, and dance communities. Check out American Repertory Ensemble for one of the projects we are involved in currently.

So I'm finally on MySpace

I have now joined the world of MySpace, a place I have to admit I originally underestimated for its lack of layout styles and garish look. But never the less I think I have mostly overcome the beast,...
