After the success of Ape 001 its time for the second installment of the monkey music - Ape 002 is here! For the second release label bosses Ben & Lex bring you a brand new tune, ‘Drifting'.

‘Drifting’ an awesome slice of deep string fuelled lushness with crisp drums, tight production and a piano line to make Orbital jealous!! A female vocal snippet keeps you hooked while the melodies are so beautiful they just make you want to put your hands in the air like it was that 5am free party moment in some far flung field and you’ve just hugged everyone because they are your new best friend! The Monkey music is finally here!!! Straight from the ashes of the successful club night of the same name, APE Music has arrived! For the opening salvo we have a double A headed monster for your listening pleasure!

Specially for the 1st release we’ve dragged in the awesome talents of the man like Will White. Since his big beat days as one half of the Propellerheads he has dropped massive tunes like ‘Digital Funk’ for Functional and ‘Cant Stop’ for Dead Famous under his Pimpwax guise. For APE Mr White gives us ’Wait A Minute’, yet another funk fuelled peak-time dancefloor killer! Bursting with funky hooks, phat bass and catchy vocal snippits this is one hell of a party tune!

On the flip we have a heavy-ass tune from label head honchos Ben & Lex. After their massive remix of the Robosapians 'Cold Sweat' [Wut Eva] and their dubtastic summer anthem 'Soundgal' for Functional (as featured on the Freq Nasty Breakspoll 2006 CD), the duo return on blinding form. 'Get On It' is a proper heads down dancefloor groover. A druggy lick that runs throughout the tune keeps you totally locked in while the huge sub bass wobbles your trousers like a mutha!!
