About Me

Been involved in the UK breakbeat scene for ten years, starting with a club called Friction I ran with Adam Freeland and Rennie Pilgrem, through a label I used to run called Mob Records. I left in 2004 to do my own thing - making records, presenting radio and playing tunes around and about.Early in 2006 I left Kiss100 after 3 years and moved to Radio One to do a monthly show for Radio One, now called called IN NEW DJS WE TRUST. I play across the breaks and beats spectrum - breakbeat, dubstep, baile funk, baltimore club, proper electro and whatever else has a broken beat. I dj the same all over the UK and the world.I run periodical parties at Fabric called Cool & Deadly, where "The backbone Is Dub". This year has seen Digital Mystics, Roots Manuva, Youngsta, Soul Jazz Soundsystem and my musical hero Rob Smith bring the bass to a new audience for London's best club. We also recorded a One World special for R1. 2007 will see Cool & Deadly spread its dub tentacles further afield.I make records of a breakbeat and electro nature always heavily inflected with dub overtones and am working on my debut album. Plan is to make the kind of album Smith & Mighty would make if they made one tomorrow. Some where between Rhythm & Sound, Dreadzone, Congo Natty, Iration Steppas and Mad Professor. Recent collaborations with Freq Nasty, Control Z, Baobinga, The Undersound, Sunz of Mecha, Aquasky and Acid Rockers are furmenting or already spreading like a dub virus. My agent would like me to tell you that he can be found at [email protected]'ve released four mix albums Im pleased with, two for Distinctive Breaks for their Y4K series, One for Functional Breaks (Beat & Bobs 3) and one called "These Are The Breaks" for DMC. The next one will be Fabric Live 32 in February 07. .I run Tracksuit Parties around the world where an old school two piece Adidas is a sign of dopeness. We do them at Snowbombing in Mayerhofen, Notting Hill Carnival and once made Brick Lane look like a scene from Beat Street with all the old school multi coloured nylon business going on.I go and watch Arsenal each week. I obsess over Film noir, and American crime fiction. I wish I was in The Wire or The Shield, surely the best TV programs ever made. I ride longboards and snowbards. I play football for the famous Spartak Brockley in in the top league of the Dulwich 7 a side Monday night league. No mean feat let me tell you.
