Influences: Father Jack...."and Josef K, Orange Juice, the Go-Betweens, essentially the Postcard Records stable of bands, as well as early Primal Scream. One touchstone band for The Orchids was the Wake, which was on Factory Records and later Sarah Records as well....the influence of Madchester tends to leak in on UNHOLY SOUL....," George Killgoar for Gullbuy New Sound Review.

We've recently covered The Go-Betweens' "Magic in Here," in tribute to Grant McLennan, a great musician and a major influence on us and many others. Please visit Rare Victory to hear "Magic in Here" and some of the other songs in tribute to this timeless musician.
