Maroon Cartoon formed in 2006. The idea for Maroon Cartoon came about when both Darryn and Lainy wanted to create good honest music from diverse musical backgrounds.Lainy's passion for music began at a very early age when she put her hands to a piano and has been heavily involved in music ever since. Her musical background includes vocals, writing, piano and music production. Darryn's interest in music came also at a very early age when he heard Status Quo's "Caroline" for the first time. Following that came a want for playing guitar and writing music and this was the beginning of a life long passion.
