Band Members: I’ve been asked why I’m doing this and who I am and a few other things so, I figure I’ll slap them in here.
Why Am I Doing This:
--------------------------
1. I worked in Radio at my college and at a small AM station during my senior year and decided not to continue on with it thinking that it wasnt what I expected - even though I love music.
2. A band here called ’the poems’ - I "bumped" into their page last year sometime and, just thought their music was fantastic but I wasnt hearing them on any radio station here - where I live - Near Washington DC.
Sooooooo.......I went a little crazy and for about 2 1/2 months I emailed the Craig Ferguson show in the US and informed them they needed to invite this band to the US and play on his show. E. Gadds - they’re his Countrymen (and women) you know!
And, I stopped doing that at some point, but Craig’s show got an email from me - pretty much every day for about 2 1/2 months - during the writers’ strike.
I met a guy in early January when I was supposed to go see Lisa Loeb play at XM Radio and she canceled last minute but, I ended up talking with a guy named Jerry who runs the show callded "the loft" on channel 50 and it turns out we know a lot of the same people and he intro’d me to his show partner Mike.
Flash forward about 4 weeks ago.
The guy who sits (now used to) across from me has a brother who was DJing on WGMU Radio and when I heard his show and him playing Kanye West about 3 different times, I started thinking - you know......I’d like to do this.
So, I email the station.
They Say Yes.
They said yes to the show type.
They said Yes to it all.
So, that’s how it all started. And that’s why I ask for bands to supply their music to me so I can play it and that’s why I reach out to bands and you singer/songwriter types to hop on our show and share what you’re doing and how you’r doing it.
Because It’s Interesting!!!!! And, I hope that others can get something out of your struggles and your triumphs.
As people, we may all love a good train wreck, but we love the underdog coming out and conquering his or her own Goliath and hearing about it.
Influences: Any singer/songwriters or bands who went before us all and got the ball rolling.
Sounds Like: A nice fire in your fireplace - even if it is a duraflame (they make good fires too)

An A Frame House on Upper Saranac Lake, NY overlooking the lake on a winter's day with a handmade quilt on top of you, a good book and the smell of wood all around and the Jeep Wrangler parked in the uncovered parking of the brush next to the house while the moon lights up the sky and the water
