About Me

Nathan Welden is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Born and raised in San Diego, he is as easy going and laid back as a warm summer’s day. A tennis instructor by day and guitar-strumming crooner by night, Nathan is one of those guys you feel like you grew up with the moment he smiles a "Hello" from his microphone.
His voice is smooth and warm, and his guitar-playing reminiscent of the days when Jim Croce and James Taylor entertained their fans. He makes playing the guitar look as simple as walking. His onstage charm is the same under the limelight as it is offstage. When you sit with Nathan outside a local San Diego coffee house, you’re bound to make at least 2 new friends in half an hour. Nathan has shard stages with many talented folks along the way opening shows for Peter mulvey, sharing bills with Tim Fagan, Colbie Caillat ,Berkleyhart ,Jason Mraz ,Dave Howard ,Dani Carroll ,Guggenheim Grotto and many more.
Nathan has been nominated for vocalist of the year with the C.C.M.A California Country Music Awards and the San Diego H.A.T. Awards. In 2006 Released his first full-length CD entitled One Step Closer to You, produced by John Katchur.Which was nominated in 2007 for album of the year with the San Diego H.A.T. Awards. The album features local talent such as Jeff Berkley, Ron Franklin, Christiane Lucas and John Katchur.
