I was nick-named after a dog on a tiny ranch in the mountains of Baja. Thirty years later I own that ranch with ragged handful of like minded individuals.
I've spent most of my adult life in the mountains of Nepal, the islands of Thailand and some of the most remote places in Mexico and Baja California. Spending time in our planets wildest places, skirting the foundations of our tallest mountains, and meeting it's most sacred and simple people has given me a background to write the music that is just now finding its voice.
I've been performing my entire adult life but only recently as a solo performer. I previously played in a duo with a songwriter named Jim Paxton.
In this arrangement we we're able to open for, and share the stage with. David Wilcox, John Gorka, Dougie Maclean, Chris Smithers and others.
I see myself primarily as a guitar player and have only been writing lyrics for 18 months or so. I'm commited to producing a CD this year in my pretty hi tech little home studio.
I'm obsessed with acoustic music and throughout the day am usually singing under my breath. When not playing I'm working in the Real Estate/ Construction industry recycling old apartment buildings.
I am working on a CD project with no expected finish date although it is going to be something I am very proud of.
I live in Del Mar, California with an incredible woman, Nikki, whom I am lucky to be married to and my 9 year old son Kai.
