Author, Journalist, and Jersey Girl

About Me

Youse guys! My newest novel for teens, NOTHING , is about a seventeen-year-old boy who develops bulimia. It will be published in August. Read the first chapter . See this great review from Bildungsroman at Slayground . Visit my friend behind the inspiration . Also visit me at Robin Friedman's JerseyFresh 'Tude , my main author site , and see my debut as a cover girl at LIVING IN MARLBORO magazine.

My Interests

Gardening, tennis, cats, running, cooking/baking. My specialty is cheesecakes... Ever have an almond-chocolate cheesecake? Banana-chocolate cheesecake? Mint-chocolate cheesecake? (Sensing a theme?)

I'd like to meet:

All my friends!

Music:

Disco from the 1970s (love the Bee Gees!), big band jazz from the 1940s, Frank Sinatra (did you know he was a Jersey guy?), classical.

Movies:

Love older films...GONE WITH THE WIND, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, THE BAND WAGON, CASABLANCA. Also love the original STAR WARS trilogy (had a crush on Luke Skywalker when I was 14 that never went away). Love GROUNDHOG DAY.

Television:

Overdosed on TV as a kid, so I overcompensate by not watching any now. But I do enjoy reruns of SCRUBS, SEINFELD, and THE SIMPSONS.
