About Me

A. S. King (Amy Sarig King) has recently returned from Ireland, where she divided herself between self-sufficiency, teaching adult literacy, and writing novels. Many of her stories are linked on her website . Her young adult novel THE DUST OF 100 DOGS (Flux Feb 2009) is a Spring 2009 Kids' Indie Next Pick For Teens. Her next novel, IGNORE VERA DIETZ, is due from Random House/Knopf Young Readers in Fall 2010.

In the late 17th century, famed pirate Emer Morrisey was on the cusp of escaping pirate life with her one true love and unfathomable riches when she was slain and cursed with the dust of 100 dogs, dooming her to one hundred lives as a dog before returning to a human body—with her memories intact. Now she's a contemporary American teenager, and all she needs is a shovel and a ride to Jamaica.
