About Me

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:
Her Most Noble Lady Kim the Defenestrated of St Winifred by Winchelsea
Get your Peculiar Aristocratic TitleWhen I'm not being Noble Lady Kim...etc., I love traveling and going to concerts. I try to combine the two when I can. Of all the places I've been my favorite is Colorado. Would love to live there someday.I love to sing. I've been a closet singer roughly since birth. Growing up I remember singing Silent Night solo in a kindergarden Christmas show, helping to lead a group in vacation bible school, and of course singing in the choirs in Jr. High and High School. My friends and I made several tapes in one of those 'walk in' studios that use to be in town. It became a Christmas tradition when we got together for our Christmas dinner/gift exchange. But only recently however, have I actually started singing in a band!! I liken to the Linda Ronstadt style. I'm also having the best time living a life long fantasy of mine. This may even have me relocating to Pittsburgh. WHO KNOWS!!! Music has ALWAYS played an important role in my life. It's taken me to many places around the country and connected me with so many wonderful people. "It's opened up a space for me to be"...to borrow a phrase.Speaking of Pittsburgh, I have discovered that the 'burgh' is a beautiful city. And even more beautiful when your tour guide is a very dear and special friend. Through his eyes I've seen overlooks under a sparkling night sky, a park reservoir on a cold misty day, gothic churches, coffee houses, countryside...I could go on. I've also met many many wonderful people during my travels to Pittsburgh. It's actually more than a 'good bet' that I'll be moving to the area. The pull I feel to move there is so strong and it gets harder and harder to leave. All the 'signs' are telling me to start a new chapter of my life. Listening to my heart this year hasn't steered me wrong yet. I guess I should keep listening!!!Well, I did listen to heart when I recently retired after working 30 years in the Information Technology field. The pay was great but it wasn't where my heart was. My mom picked my career direction because I was taking too long to find a job after high school graduation. After my mom passed away in 2006 I started reevaluating my life. I came to the realization that life is way to short and precious to waste energy playing the corporate politics game and doing a job you hate. When you wake up in the morning and you just sit on the couch because you can't bear another day in your job or you feel physically ill knowing you have to work with certain people, it's definitely time to move on. Luckily, I was able to take early retirement.During that 'life evaluation' stage I took a bartending course and received my Mixology and ServSafe certifications. Hey...does STYX need a personal bartender??? BARTENDER 4 HIRE!I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder which I completely enjoy!! (Another life evaluation decision) While I do miss my SUV, having the convertable top down on a beautiful warm and sunny day and the wind in your hair....how could it get any better!I also love animals. I currently have 3 cats named Izzy, Gracie, and Kitty Kat. Would love to have a place where I could have lots of dogs and cats!So there ya go...a little info on me.
