About Me

************Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog, all of the time." When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied "The one I feed the most."-unknown** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*how does one really "get to know" someone in cyberspace?keep in mind -this is not me, only one facet, only an image that is created....so what (or who)is the 'real' me? who knows, even i can be deluded in my concept of 'me' or what i think i am and how i define myself. everything changes and is in constant flux. you cannot cross the same river twice. that said, i make an effort to remain loyal and true to those who need me, whether they choose to call me a friend or not. remember that today's friend can be tomorrow's enemy. i make no claims as to who "i am", my identity, or communities i belong to, i can only tell you where i've been, but where i am headed "God only knows". i am a human being, with a mind and a heart, anything beyond that is theory, speculation, interpretation and regurgitation. all i know is what i have done, what i have failed to do and what i am capable of- indifference, self-cherishing, arrogance, anger and unkindness as well as compassion, altruism, humility, long-suffering patience and unconditional charity.if you really want to know "about me", try to look at the whole picture. the profile is just wrapping paper, remember. if you really want to know, you gotta look deeper, read the blogs, or better yet talk to me and simply ask....i can't guarantee an answer that pleases but this tiger won't bite and the heron won't peck your eyes out. (well, not if you're nice) ~"..llena de malicia, pero también de dulzura." -el sombrero de tres picos ************************************************************ * "I'm reminded of something Yoko Ono said to Malcolm X in a bistro in Paris, 'The food's terrible, but the waiter's hilARious." -Buddy Cole (from Kids In The Hall) * Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow / Delad glädje är dubbel glädje; delad sorg är halverad sorg.-swedish proverb I am Fyedka!

My Interests

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast,* but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly,* but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three;and the greatest of these is love. Save The World - One Click At A Time!

Give gifts of love and peace to those whom others pass by." ~ Paramahansa Yogananda ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *nota bene* on friend requests: if i don't know you, kindly leave me some message first. i prefer to add people who send me a message and actively interact with me. (**in other words, if you send me a request w/out any message of intro. or even so much as a hello, you may not get added on my friends list. **) i would simply ask you to consider if you truly want me to be a friend to interact with. if i'm simply another name on your long list (i.e. you rarely talk to, leave comments, read blogs, etc.) there's no point of adding one another as friends, is there?~i don't want to be on your top 24 list -i'm not interested in that, but if you never interact in any way with me -we dont need to be in contact. :-) .. .. ..

"Suffering is inherent in life, however we may try to conceal it, however often we may try to turn our eyes away from it. To any sensitive person who reads the paper, every morning can be a hard blow: murders, suicides, air crashes, war, violence, disease, poverty – in every country on the face of the earth. If you are sensitive, your heart will melt in grief. Yet the greatest joy lies in devoting your life to the amelioration (betterment) of this sorrow. The greatest fulfillment comes to you when you dedicate your life to bring some of these tragedies to an end, to wipe the tears away from the eyes of a few people. We needn’t rescue the whole world, or even a city, or neighborhood. We begin with those around us." ~Eknath Easwaran *************"this life has been given to you for metanoia, waste it not in vain pursuits"~ St Isaac of Syria*****
