The Illbillys: We are a COVER BAND and we select our songs very carefully. We pride ourselves on "B" Side songs or the lesser played songs. ....Based in the Richmond Virginia area, the Illbillys are a four-piece, multi-genre band that puts their distinctive spin on good time rock-n-roll, classic 50's country, pop oddities and old school standards. With strong harmonies and a knack for those "B" side selections, they offer something for everybody.We play tunes from the last 6 decades that we consider great for drinking, some dancing and typically an all around good time. The Illbillys were launched in 2002 by Peter Hempfling, JB Jeter & Jack Taggart. A couple years later, enter Joe Bales and you have the current line up of: Bass guitar, Drums, Rhythm guitar and Lead guitar.We play: Bars, private parties, weddings, corporate events, benefits and special occasions.
