About Me

My name is Greg and I have spent a hell of a long ass time trying to play music for a living.....just make enough to get by anyway. I started on the organ (insert appropriate masterbating penis joke here) when I was young and took lessons like any music geek would, for 3 years. Then.....a short stint living in Atlanta, Georgia would have me playing clarinet in the school band(insert oral sex joke here)......ok fuck off......I wanted to play sax but the CUNT band director put me on clarinet. I played it all the way through school and for a little while after.....I can still hit that shit.......RECOGNIZE! Somewhere along the way I got into drums in the early nineties, in a big way (clarinet wasn't cool enough.....well.....at all really). I started playing with my friends (insert creepy fondling of friends' penises joke here) and eventually joined my first established band in 1993 called Punched Unconscious. Played probably 80 or so shows in bars before we parted ways in early 1997. Kept playing with friends in various anonymous projects and was occasionally seen playing in punk bands like The Greasy Meatboys and The Dead Beat Dads (their drummer kept moving to Ontario right before shows! HAHAHA). Played in a band called The Buicks in 1999/2000 for eight months as a sub while their drummer was in Thailand (banging little boys on a childsex tour.......JK!). Then in the fall of 2000, like any music geek, I enrolled in Grant MacEwan Community College to become an educated music geek. I left during the second semester (broke and having back issues). Started playing in a show band with a friend, Tyler Dianocky, and his band Illusions. We talked about starting a kick ass band someday. That summer in 2001 I was playing with 5 bands....Illusions, Dead Beat Dads, Latino Blue, Sweet Alibi/Bootzkiss, and Matt Paul and the Politburo. Ended up working on originals with my good buddy Steve Vincent (played in a post high school jazz combo with him called In4) and a couple of the guys from Sweet Alibi. Fall of 2002, four musicians teamed up to help a local artist name Geneva with a few shows. These fellows were Dan Davidson, Tyler Dianocky, Steve Vincent, and I. We really clicked as friends and players (I had played with Steve and Ty before......yes....their balls). It took some time, but in early spring of 2003, Matt Landry (singer found at open stages) completed that lineup of what was now a new band........Tupelo Honey. Don't ask about the name........it just sounded cool at the time! What happened after that? www.tupelohoney.caAs for me......5'8".......brown hair and eyes.......no luck with love......shit......I could have just written this sentence in this section........BLAH.......wanna know more? You want the fairy tale? I didn't think so.......later home slices. G.

My Interests

I am all about playing drums, writing and recording music, and pints with good chums. I like grabbing a big jar of peanut butter and getting naked with my three dogs. Sometimes I yell at staplers and call them communists, whilst reciting the recipe for baked alaska. Life is like a box of chocolates......sometimes its good and sometimes you expect it to be good but when you bite into it, its filled with orange cream or some sick nut that I have never heard of. What were we talking about?! I like watching Col. Trautman boast about Rambo in the trilogy........"I am not here to save Rambo from you.....I'm here to save you from him!" CLASSIC I don't feel like writing any more..........clearly your loss, I know.

I'd like to meet:

Some cool people who like music..........lots of types of music........if you're a music NAZI then FACK OFF!!! I would definitely like to meet someone who wants to tally me on to their 20,000 other myspace friends that they don't know and never talk to. After all........life IS a popularity contest just like high school! Just think......we could all just spend as much time on the computer as possible and NEVER go out with our real friends! GENIUS I hope most who are actually reading this are aware of sarcasm! The point is........if you add me.......say something........I always write back.......unless I don't like you! HAHAHAHA
