I'll be out of here faster then a sunburnt albino kid at a Casper the Friendly Ghost ass-sniffing co

About Me

I am about as far from cool as Paris Hilton's ankles are from each other when the camera is recording. Zing! Well, its hard to trick people into thinking you are cool if you say "I'm 26 years old and don't have a steady job" so I'll try to focus on my positives... haha! I am a (gulp!) musician and play the bass guitar in an Edmonton based rock band called Tupelo Honey. We've been doing pretty well for an indie band, and have toured with some fairly large Canadian acts. We've recently been working with a producer named Jeff Dalziel out of Toronto who is probably the most talented human being alive since that girl who could take 4 giant wangs in her butt while doing a headstand. Thats right, Jeff handles 6. Seriously though, our new demos are sounding amazing. I'm so excited! Working with Juno Award winning (and losing!) engineer Denis "The Love Hammer" Tougas and Nicole "The Maniacal Princess of Rock Doom and Murderous Circumcision" Hughes doesn't hurt either... haha!My other hobbies include looking at girls' butts, watching movies, exercising, eating junk food like a madman, following up a period of junk food eating with a period of healthy eating, belching with the force of a thousand atomic bombs being dropped on an alarm clock factory, masturbating, petting cats, telling girls I am not Usher despite the resemblance, and fantasizing about Beyonce'.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Really, the only people I'm interested in meeting are really cool people who aren't into using the internet to meet 13 year old girls, make bombs, or add to the legitimacy of the rumour that I have a fetish for getting blowjobs while whistling the theme from M*A*S*H. However, I'd love to meet anybody who is into cool music, interesting conversation, or even the majesty that is a bald scalp. Ahhh.... showering is almost sexual. Well, that is unless you shower with your parents to save water.

Music:

Holy fuck here's the big one. I'll make categories!!!Rock: Sevendust, Thornley, Lost Prophets, Incubus, RETROGRADE, Rush, Audioslave, Hoobastank, Filter, Chyshuga, Deep Fine Grind, Default, Dave Matthews Band, System of a Down, Marble Engine, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam, STP, Megadeth, A Perfect Circle, Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, Hawksley Workman, Muse, Steely Dan, The Tea Party, Big Wreck, and a billion others.Jazz: Metalwood, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Alain Caron, John Pattitucci, John McLaughlin, Weather Report, Yellowjackets, Jaco, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Charlie Parker, Vital Tech Tones, Bela Fleck and the Flectones, Oscar Peterson, etc.Favourite/Most influencial Bassists: Geddy Lee, Alain Caron, Jaco Pastorious, John Pattitucci, Michael Manring, Cliff Burton, David Ellefson, Chris Chaney, Victor Wooten, Chris Tarry, Tim Comerford, Tom Barney, Stefan Lessard, Dominique di Piazza, John Taylor, Mike Lent.

Movies:

Rocky 1-4, Star Wars, Lord of the motherfucking Rizzings!!!, The Godfathers, Harry Potters, Still Crazy, Shaun of the Dead, American Beauty, Donnie Darko, The Good The Bad and the Ugly, James Bond flicks, Art School Confidential, Rounders, American History X, The Matrix Trilogy, X-Mens, Spidermans, Rambos, Batman, the Incredibles, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Orgasmo, Troy, and a billion others. This list makes me look like a 14 year old.... haha! I like lots of other quality dramatic movies, trust me!

Television:

We dont get cable at my place (by choice!!) so I watch only quality shows on dvd, or that have been illegally downloaded by terrorists who force me to enjoy the illegal goodness at gunpoint. The best shows ever are Arrested Development, Family Guy, Deadwood, Entourage, The Ultimate Fighter, Mr. Show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Red Dwarf, My Name is Earl, Batman the Animated Series, X-Men, Spiderman (90's ones), CSI, VH1 Behind the Music, and basically all good music related shows. UFC Pay per View extravaganzas are the greatest televisual experience ever.

Books:

The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. The Jazz Theory Book by Mark Levine. Dinosaur Training by Brooks Kubik. Mila 18 by Leon Uris. A bunch more really, too lazy.......

Heroes:

My heroes would include many of the bass players I've already named, but I also have heroes in other fields. I love guys like John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson and have always looked up to them as complete authorities of wit, delivery, and overall masters of comedy. I'm not really one for having a single hero that I identify with, but I do generally draw inspiration from people who do remarkable things. The only person I want to be like is me, but there are a lot of good teachers out there that can help me get there.

My Blog
