Bishop Christopher Lamar Brinson is a Spirit-filled Gospel Preacher, Prophet, anointed singer/director, producer and a co-laborer in God's Kingdom; He is a native New Yorker who was born in Niagara Falls to Bishop Joseph Brinson Sr. and the late, Vera Brinson.
God called Bishop to the ministry at the tender age of 16 years old. He was ordained as an Elder in 1984 and was called to Pastor in 1990. Bishop Brinson's first pastoral assignment from God began at The Greenway Auditorium located in the city of Winston-Salem NC, with only (15) fifteen people. Since that time God has used him mightily as an instrument and mouthpiece to declare His word. His unique style of preaching has reached beyond the church walls and touched the lives of many. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas and Europe preaching and singing the message of Jesus Christ. Bishop currently serves as Adjutant to the Senior Prelate of the Mt. Calvary Holy Churches International; Bishop Harold I. Williams.
As founder of Calvary Kingdom Fellowship in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Bishop emphasizes “excellence without excuseâ€. The Lord birthed into his spirit the mandate to lead by example and to be saved "for real", Bishop Brinson is determined to provide a holistic ministry and to equip, enrich and empower others to be I.ndividuals M.aking P.ositive A.chievements in C.hallenging T.imes. He works faithfully to support the church and community at large. Under the Pastorate of this great man, the ministry has successfully run our Learning Center (A Before/After School Tutoring Program), Summer Days summer camp Program, the Coffee House and several other outreach and community activities, with much more to come.
Not only did the pastor's love for the church grow but in the Music Ministry, Bishop Brinson has gone from vision to victory. Numerous doors have been opened for him and many souls have been saved through the ministry worldwide. Bishop Brinson is also internationally known as the Slackson/Malaco recording artist currently with 3 Recordings. In 1997, God revealed to him that this is your season. From his 1st release "What If God Is Unhappy ", which took the country by storm, to his 1999 release "Got Just What I Wanted", the vision is now clear "to be a true worshipper ". The 2002 release "A Better Way " isn't just gospel music but it is ministry through music. Bishop Brinson and the Ensemble aim to stir the soul, electrify the body, and inspire the doubter to believe that there is "A Better Way". His music is heard on major television commercials and radio airwaves in this country and abroad Bishop has served with such artist as Shirley Caesar, Daryl Coley, Keith Pringle, Albertina Walker, John P. Kee, Cedric Thompson, Eric Reed, Bishop Dennis Leonard, Mary Mary, just to name a few. He has also appeared on various commercials and television shows such as: The Bobby Jones Gospel Show, Testify, and Televisa Television in Mexico City, Mexico.
Bishop Christopher Lamar Brinson is married to the beautiful Tammy Thompson Brinson; to whom he has been married to for the past 21 years. They are the proud parents of (3) three children: Tamela Shanee (20), Christopher Jr. (13),and Chrishna Marie (9).Bishop Brinson’s education has spanned far but the journey still continues, he graduated from the Niagara Fall School system in 1982. He continued later on with his college education receiving his Bachelor of Divinity in Religious Studies and Master of Divinity in Theology from Almeda University.
With a shepherd's heart, Bishop Christopher L. Brinson has been called, chosen, and committed; August 2002 has proven to be another harvest release in the life of this anointed vessel. For this chosen Leader serves as a Duly Consecrated Bishop in the Lord’s Church, challenged to fulfill the plan of God for his life.
