Get Your Own! | View SlideshowRick Barranco is a Published Singer Songwriter / Composer of Electronic based music. His music ranges from Folk to Electronica and everything in-between. Rick's music is varied and cannot be categorized in one genre of music. Its a blend of many styles of Electronica with its roots firmly planted in Contemporary Folk.Although Rick is primarily a writer of contemporary Folk Music with a pop twist, Inspired by artists such as Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and Al Stewart, he also has a love of Electronic based music as well. In 1979 he and a friend of his formed a group called "Intrusion" and recorded an album called "Passing without notice". The album was published and recieved some local airplay. Intrusion's sound was a cross between Emerson Lake & Palmer and a contemporary Soundtrack to a movie and for 1979 it was "Experimental" to say the least. Inspired by this genre of music as well as the music of many other artists such as Jim Brickman, John Tesh, Lyle Mays, Ryan Farish, Enigma, Vangelis & Tangerine dream (to name a few) Rick took this sound and created his own music, mixing Synths, Piano, acoustic guitar and Vocals with samples & Loops to create a musical style that has more to do with his mood than a particular Genre of music!!! ____________________________________________________________ ________ Rick is an Entertainment Producer for the Walt Disney Company at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Since 1989 he has produced Many events locally as well as throughout the country utilizing some of the worlds greatest and well known talents from Jim Brickman, John Tesh to Celine Dion & the backstreet Boys to Huge star studded events featuring entertainment from around the world..........
