Living RoomRelaxation, warmth and peace with his Living Room, sound engineer, DJ and producer Ingolf Schapke creates a musical environment of wellbeing.
In spite of his classical musical education in the world-famous Dresdner Kreuzchor
(Germany), Schapke, has been attracted to electronical music since he was a teenager. Since 2000, Schapke has his own studio and label (Rockbox Studio) in Munich, his chosen place of residence, and devotes himself to producing well-known Raggae-Stars (Black Kappa, Tony Tuff, Triston Palmer, Dawn Penn, etc.), Drum & Bass live projects, DJ performances, music for TV commercials (Naomi Campbell TV campaign for Cat Deluxe runs in over 8 Countries) as well as short films and documentaries, and the musical design of his own lounge-like living room.
With his refined mix of Easy Listening, Trip Hop, Jazz and Bossa Nova, Schapke now creates feathery and unintrusive downbeat-pieces, where harmonical surfaces meet piano passages a fine relaxing chill-out music with an atmospheric tingle for early mornings. In 2007 he founded together with Carlos Mendes Good Mood Music a new Label for Downbeat, Lounge, Dub, Jazz & Deephouse.
Always inspired by new challenges, Schapke presently works with Alexander Schneider, a counter tenor from Berlin, in order to present classical music in a totally different context. This project called Polyharmonique already ravished its audience at numerous live gigs, in the Palast der Republik Berlin and the Schrannenhalle München, among other locations. He is also a part of worlds larges Live Ambient Project "Sphericlounge". His musical contributions can be found on the following samplers: Mercedes Benz Mixtape 11, Nektar Openminded, Fehlton Sampler, Carpe Diem, Ministry of Sound, Soulstar, Erotic Lounge, Bar Lounge Classics, Hotel Ibiza and many more. Furthermore, his productions are played on diverse radio stations like Lounge-Radio.com, munich-radio.com, Slackline, Clamspace, Jazzy L, O2, the Klassik Radio among others.
