Fernando Ferds

Fernando Ferds is a producer, DJ, songwriter and instrumentist, not necessarily in that orther. Ferds iniciated music studies at age 11, with acoustic guitar and trumpet, later electric guitar and finally the electric bass. For many years participated on many rock bands, brazilian traditional groups of many different styles, including marching bands, samba groups, horns sessions, and so on.
In 1998 moved to Manhattan (NYC) staying there for the next 4 years, when studied with bass legend Jeff Andrews (Manhattan School of Music). During this time, Ferds has played around the US - East Cost with rock bands, jazz, afro-cuban, and musicians Victor Jones (Miles Davis), Cyro Baptista, Daniel Gonzaga, Paulo Braga (Tom Jobim), Cid Teixeira (Gilberto Gil) and Rubens de La Corte (Angelique Kidjo).
In 2000 joined producer and DJ Jimmy Van M and friend Steve Thirolle into electronic music. Ferds has participated in the production team of the Sasha & Digweed's DELTA HEAVY TOUR in US in 2002.
Ferds makes the radio show Plug-In Energia with partner DJ and producer Ramilson Maia (Kaleidoscopio/RamScience) at 97FM in Sao Paulo, is also owner an audio production company (Cube Productions), Cube Agency and A&R for Plug-In Records.

DJ e produtor, Fernando Ferds tem formação musical, atua profissionalmente como instumentista e em gravações com diversos artistas há mais de 15 anos.
Em 1998 Ferds mudou-se para Manhattan (New York-USA), onde viveu por 4 anos e estudou com o lendário baixista Jeff Andrews. Tocou com várias bandas de rock, jazz, latin jazz e músicos como Victor Jones, Cyro Baptista, Daniel Gonzaga, Paulo Braga, Cid Teixeira e Rubens de La Corte.
Em 2000 iniciou seu trabalho de produção de música eletrônica com o DJ Jimmy Van M e com o duo eletrônico Sasha e John Digweed, com quem participou da Delta Heavy Tour, a primeira tournee de DJs pelos Estados Unidos que aconteceu em 2002.
Fernando participa da produção do programa Plug-In Energia com Ramilson Maia na rádio 97,7 FM em São Paulo, é sócio da produtora de audio Cube Productions, da Cube Agency e também da gravadora Plug-In Records.
