THE CLOCK TICKS OUR DOOM

About Me

The entire discography can be listened to and downloaded at www.novistador.com
Novistador was created in the middle of the year 2006 by Canadian solo musician Chrono. The first work under the name of Novistador was titled ‘Demo 1' and was released for free over the internet to positive feedback; it was reviewed by Lars Christiansen for Metalcrypt.com and received a 4/5, featuring many of the same compliments others said about the demo: the cavernous vocal work, relentless guitars and pounding drums created a moody, dark and thoughtful atmosphere.
Three months later, in February of 2007, Chrono released another demo, titled ‘Demo 2' again through the internet. The demo’s most popular song, ‘Stricken’, was given airplay on radio stations such as Spain’s ‘The Noise Hour.’ Again, the demo received positive feedback from people all over the world, this time complimenting on the song arrangements and an even darker atmosphere.
Almost a year after the release of ‘Demo 2', the next demo was released under the moniker of “Demo 3: The Revival”. The powerful riffs, atmospheric melodies and matured song structures impressed many. The biggest achievement was the epic outro, ‘Lost Souls’, which is 15 minutes long.
Chrono began writing for the conceptual debut right after the release of ‘The Revival’, and it has finally been released. With haunting melodies, crushing drums and shrieking vocals, the self-titled debut is the most promising release as of yet and showcases the evolution in songwriting and technical capabilities. The self-titled features clean vocals, guitar solos and keyboard leads for the first time, proving that Chrono progresses with each release and is accomplishing his goals.
At this time, the conclusion was also reached that a record label is unnecessary for Novistador to continue. Chrono writes music for the sake of personal enjoyment, and prefers to have anyone be able to acquire all of his discography at any time for free. This way there is also total control over the direction of the band and music; a release could be a minute long, or ten hours long. With no limits at all, Chrono has begun the writing process of the follow-up, and will continue to push the limits of music and the music business as we know it.
